Because I grew up in Connecticut, I love New England and the North American great outdoors almost as much as I love tutoring students. I am a proud graduate of the University of Rhode Island, summa cum laude. My bachelor's degree is in both Writing and Rhetoric, so I understand the weight and power that words carry. Because I am so passionate about the written word, I started work as a tutor at the Writing Center at my university in my senior year, passing my passion for writing to my students. After graduation, I started to tutor all levels of students professionally, from the youngest students in preschool to master's level students. I remind my students constantly of the "Three R's," reading, writing, and arithmetic, which create the foundation of education. These basics help my students succeed in the real world after they graduate. The world is becoming more connected through the internet, so good writing skills are essential to good communication. In my free time, I thoroughly enjoy reading a good book, quality time with my husband and our dogs, traveling across the Northeast region of the country taking photographs, and even discovering new gluten-free foods.
